Where will Prince Harry and Meghan Markle live after moving to the UK? I might have the answer - thanks to these royal clues
The Sussexes are set to relocate this August and we know they won't be back at Frogmore Cottage, so where else could they go?
The news that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are planning to move back to the UK this month has sparked a flurry of questions and the biggest one is where will they live? They used to be based at Frogmore Cottage but fully vacated the property in 2023 and I suspect returning to the Windsor estate would feel a little too much like stepping back into their old lives.
Anyway, we understand that the Sussexes won't be living at a royal residence, but at a private home outside of London. As soon as I saw this, one location sprung to mind as my best guest - Northamptonshire and perhaps more specifically, a property on or owned by the Althorp Estate.

Written by the best-selling author of Revenge, this biography delves into the relationship between Prince Harry and Meghan and the Royal Family. It reveals shocking insights and details about all the big moments of recent years, from their exit from royal life to their projects with Netflix.
The 90-bedroom Althorp House nestled in the 13,000 acre estate is where Princess Diana grew up and it's currently owned by her brother Charles, Earl Spencer. The Estate is vast and the Sussexes visited it in July and paid their respects at Diana's grave.
The Duchess of Sussex shared a snap of her children and husband in what's widely thought to be the Althorp grounds, with Archie and Harry both carrying huge bouquets of flowers. It's been suggested by the BBC that the children loved spending time with the Spencer family and the trip to Europe was what made a move to the UK a "firm decision".
Apparently, Harry and Meghan's choice was driven by a desire to educate their kids in the UK and to spend time nearer his family. Another picture included in the Duchess's holiday round-up looks like it features Earl Spencer lying on a sun lounger by a pool, which suggests that Harry has maintained a very close bond with his uncle.
Harry and Meghan also managed to visit Althorp with Archie and Lili without being spotted and living in Northamptonshire would give them a level of privacy they wouldn't get in London. It's close enough to the capital for them to travel down to see King Charles easily too.
The monarch was reportedly told about the move on 16th August and welcomes the opportunity to spend more time with the Sussexes. His grandchildren are said to be enrolled in a British school to start in September and it might make the move easier for them if they're nearby to family they've already spent time with recently.

Northamptonshire also has a lot of beautiful countryside and space for the children to enjoy time outdoors and for the family pets. All of these details have made me think this could be where Prince Harry and Meghan will settle when they move back.
Alternatively, Gloucestershire is where King Charles's Highgrove House is and it's also where Princess Anne, her two children and their families live. This county could provide another family base, though it's been alleged that Harry isn't as close to his cousins as he used to be.
Of course, we'll find out soon enough anyway, as there are just a few weeks left of August and most British schools start in early September. Wherever they end up living, the Duchess of Sussex will likely share glimpses of it on her Instagram like she's done with their California home.
It'll also be very interesting to see whether the Sussexes will start attending a few more family events, such as Christmas with the royals at Sandringham.
