Princess Charlotte could reportedly be set to become the ‘richest’ young royal, with a new study suggesting her net worth could surpass both of her brothers.

Princess Charlotte is fourth in the royal line of succession and as one of the Queen’s great-grandchildren is often pictured at significant events and on social media, showing her cheeky and confident personality. From beaming at the crowds at Trooping the Colour, to looking like the Queen’s mini-me in a sweet photo to highlight the Butterfly Count initiative, the six-year-old never fails to charm fans.

And while she’s not expected to take the throne like her older brother Prince George, charismatic Charlotte certainly has a glittering future ahead of her. As reported by the Evening Standard, according to a new study from Electric Rides on Cars, Prince William and Kate Middleton’s only daughter is set to be the richest young royal around.

The study into the world's richest kids claimed that Princess Charlotte’s estimated net worth could be as much as $4.9 billion (£3.6 billion). This far exceeds the future king, Prince George, who was beaten to the top spot by his younger sister after his net worth was reportedly estimated to be $2.8 billion (£2.1 billion).

Meanwhile, Prince Louis’ net worth was alleged to be a slightly more modest $992 million (£720 million). Princess Charlotte’s supposed net worth also surpasses that of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s son Archie, who came in 11th in the richest children study with an estimated $29 million (£21.6 million).

Other famous children included in the study included Beyonce and Jay Z’s daughter Blue Ivy Carter, who reportedly tied in third place with Prince Louis, as well as Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ daughter Suri, who came fifth.

Though it might come as a surprise to some fans to see Princess Charlotte come out on top, especially given she’s set to lose a royal family title when William becomes king, it’s thought it could all be down to the so-called ‘Kate Middleton effect’.

This suggests that fashion choices made by prominent members of the Royal Family like the Duchess of Cambridge often have a serious impact on fashion trends and increase their net worth as a result.

With so many eager to wear Kate Middleton’s dresses and recreate her effortlessly elegant looks, it’s believed it won’t be long before Charlotte is looked to for some major fashion inspiration.

Already fans are fascinated to see the young royal’s adorable looks and as she gets older, all eyes will be on her developing sense of style.
