Prince William shared an update on his daughter's sixth birthday celebrations during a recent tour of a Walsall engineering company.
Speaking with Jenna Jackson, the head of the Babcock Vehicle Engineering firm, the Duke of Cambridge opened up about how the family marked Princess Charlotte turning 6.
"She had a lovely day, thank you," he said when asked about the special occasion. "Last year it was her birthday in lockdown but this year we were able to have one other family over."
William visited the Walsall engineering company on Tuesday to honor its contribution to the coronavirus relief effort. Babcock has played a pivotal role in supplying products to emergency services throughout the pandemic, manufacturing and converting ambulances, police cars, and community vehicles.

With travel restrictions lifted, Prince William and Kate Middleton were able to treat their second child to a getaway birthday party at their country home in Sandringham Estate. The young family spent the bank holiday weekend at Anmer Hall in Norfolk, a 10 bedroom residence surrounded by acres of lush parkland. The break allowed Will and Kate to have some much-appreciated quality time with their little ones during this challenging time—and to savor the precious years of their early childhood.
"They grow up very fast," the duke added. "It was great fun."

The mini philanthropist was pictured doing community service in Norfolk during the UK's first lockdown, packing up parcels and knocking on the doors of pensioners in the local area to deliver food packages. The heartwarming gesture was part of Sandringham Estate's volunteering initiative, which saw over 1000 meals delivered to vulnerable people in its first week in action.
