Royals mark Princess Charlotte's sixth birthday with new photos—taken by the Duchess of Cambridge
The princess is wearing an adorable floral dress

An adorable new photo of Princess Charlotte has been released—to mark her 6th birthday today.
• The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared the photo this morning, as they will no doubt be celebrating with the princess today.
• The photo was taken by Kate Middleton—who is an amateur photographer and has taken photos of all their children in the last couple of years.
• This royal news comes after Prince William revealed he and his wife would be boycotting social media this weekend—to support sports stars who suffer online bullying and abuse.
The photo shows Princess Charlotte with a huge smile and sporting a pretty navy floral button-down dress.
The birthday portrait, which was taken by her mother Kate Middleton, shows Charlotte with her long hair down and a big grin.
The Rachel Riley dress, which has buttons down the front, and is priced at £59, is sold out already—showing the power the royals have over fashion trends.
The British brand is a go-to brand for the royals—with the most memorable being Prince George's red shorts and shirt combination he wore when he was just a toddler.

The new picture was released via the Royal Family Instagram page, but not on the Kensington Royal account—after Prince William declared he would boycott social media this weekend—to support the fight against online abuse.
Fans took to the page to remark on how similar Charlotte looks to both Prince William and The Queen with one Instagram user commenting, "She looks like the Queen's mini-me."
To celebrate their 10 year anniversary earlier this week, Kate and William released new photos and a family video. The sweet video featured their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. In the clip, we see the Duke and Duchess running and playing with their little ones on the beach and in the garden.
"Thank you to everyone for the kind messages on our wedding anniversary," they captioned the video. "We are enormously grateful for the 10 years of support we have received in our lives as a family. W & C."
