Prince William and Kate Middleton have made fans “tear up” as they highlighted the “incredible” work of Shout during Pride Month.

- As a 24/7 text messaging support service Shout has helped over a hundred thousand members of the LGBTQIA+ community in the UK in the last year alone.

As senior members of the extended Royal Family and the future King and Queen Consort, Prince William and Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge are champions of a large number of hugely important organizations, services and charities. Whether in their capacities as royal patrons or simply as prominent advocates, Prince William and Duchess Kate regularly speak out in support of causes close to their hearts and which help so many people.
Now ahead of Pride Month drawing to a close this year on Thursday June 30th, the Duke and Duchess have been thanked for raising “awareness”. Taking to social media, the royals have highlighted the vital work of Shout in the UK.
“This #PrideMonth, we are highlighting @giveusashoutinsta and the incredible work they are doing in support of the LGBTQIA+ community,” their caption declared.

They went on to reflect on the staggering number of people from the LGBTQIA+ community that have received support from Shout in the last year alone as they reminded people that this valuable service is there whenever they might need them.
“Over the past year, Shout have supported more than 150,000 LGBTQIA+ texters here in the UK,” they continued. “If you’re ever in the need of a conversation, Shout are there 24/7 🌈”.
First launched back in 2019, Shout is the UK’s first and only free confidential 24/7 text messaging support service that provides help for anyone who is struggling to cope. Since they were first established Shout has had over 1.4 million conversations with people who are feeling depressed, stressed, anxious, experiencing suicidal thoughts or are overwhelmed, requiring support at these critical moments.

According to Shout they now have 2,100 trained and active volunteers and conduct 2,000 conversations in a single day. Prince William and Duchess Kate’s choice to highlight their hugely impactful work during Pride Month is something that has earned them “big respect” from fans.
Many took to the comments to express their gratitude at this inclusive and supportive post and mirrored the royals’ admiration of Shout’s 24/7 service.

This new post comes three years after Prince William visited akt, a charity that offers support to young people from the LGBTQ+ community in the UK who are experiencing homelessness or living in hostile environments. According to akt, this important engagement was reportedly the first visit paid by a member of the Royal Family to an LGBTQ+ youth charity.
