First pictures of Lilibet Diana have Prince Harry fans seeing double

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have released their first photo of Lilibet Diana in celebration of the royal baby turning one on Saturday.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have shared their first official photo of Lilibet Diana, more than one year after she was born. 

In the adorable image, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's second child can be seen sitting on a patch of grass and smiling away from the camera. 

The photo was captured during Lilibet's first birthday party at Frogmore Cottage, where the couple stayed during their whirlwind trip to the UK for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee last week. 

The sweet infant, who completed her first rotation around the sun on June 4, spent the happy occasion with her parents, big brother Archie and several of her royal cousins at the Windsor residence. It's understood that the Queen, who was unable to attend the Epsom Derby that same day, was also in attendance at the al fresco shindig. 

A Sussex spokesman said that Harry and Meghan were “incredibly touched by the countless birthday wishes for their daughter”, before confirming that the couple had been joined by friends and family for “a casual, intimate backyard picnic at Frogmore Cottage” to mark their beloved daughter's big day. 

Lilibet, who is named after the Queen's childhood moniker, is styled in a pale blue dress and a floral white headband for the summery event. She is also rocking a full head of red hair, having clearly inherited the rare gene from her ginger father. Royal fans were quick to marvel at the physical similarities between Lili and Prince Harry as a baby, with many taking to Twitter to point out the uncanny resemblance. 

The precious portrait was taken by the couple's friend, Misan Harriman, who was one of the lucky VIPs to be invited to the A-list bash. 

The Nigerian-born British photographer also shared a few other snaps from Lilibet's birthday party on his Twitter, including a black and white shot of a makeup-free Meghan Markle holding her daughter alongside his wife and kids.
