Duchess Meghan appeared in London today to launch her new SmartWorks capsule collection.
- During her speech, a royal correspondent noticed she was also wearing something that once belonged to Princess Diana.
- The launch of her fashion collection is her first official royal engagement since Archie was born.
- This follows royal news that Duchess Meghan’s charity collection with Marks and Spencer and John Lewis has just been released.
Royal Correspondent Roya Nikkhah tweeted photos from the event, where Meghan gave a speech explaining why she wanted to get involved with Smart Works.
But they noticed that Meghan was paying tribute to the late Princess Diana during her speech, by wearing some butterfly earrings that once belonged to Harry’s mother.
The Duchess has also worn these earrings before, a few days after her pregnancy was announced to the public, so it seems they’re very special to her.
They wrote: “The Duchess of Sussex is wearing the @mishanonoo white shirt from the @SmartWorksHQ capsule collection and the @Jigsaw trousers with butterfly earrings that belonged to Diana, Princess of Wales #smartworks.”
The gold butterfly earrings complimented her outfit perfectly, as the Duchess opted for a white shirt and black trousers from her collection.
She chose to pair them with a tan coloured belt from Ralph Lauren and matching Jimmy Choo shoes.
Speaking about the importance of her new capsule collection, the Duchess of Sussex said: “When you buy any item in the Smart Set Capsule Collection for Smart Works, the same item will be given to a Smart Works client, and with it, the confidence and support she needs to enter the workforce and take an important step in building a career.”
