Duchess of Cambridge spotted doing *this* before the Queen arrived at Chelsea Flower Show

Yesterday, the Duchess of Cambridge unveiled her specially designed 'Back to Nature' garden to the world, at the Chelsea Flower Show.

While Catherine and her husband Prince William had taken their three children to see the garden on the weekend, Monday was the first time it was ready for the public to view.

But not before the Queen, who came to see her granddaughter-in-law's creation during her annual visit to the first day of the Chelsea Flower Show.

The monarch arrived at the event late afternoon, ready for Catherine to walk her round the garden which has been designed to encourage families to spend more time outdoors.

And it seems that not even the Duchess of Cambridge is exempt from feeling a few nerves before a meeting with the Queen, as she did something very understandable before the monarch arrived.

A few royal reporters, including Rebecca English, who were in attendance at the show, noted that Catherine was nervously tidying up her garden before meeting with the Queen.

Reportedly, she was seen picking up 'stray leaves and twigs' - even stuffing them into her handbag, as there was no where else to put them.

It's then claimed that she handed the bag and twigs over to one of her royal aides, before meeting with the Queen.

We reckon everyone can relate to that moment!

Later, Catherine showed Prince William and his grandmother around her garden, which included a tree swing, waterfall, and treehouse big enough to climb in to.

And the Queen was clearly impressed, telling Catherine that the garden was 'very tidy'. So it looks like her work paid off!

But she wasn't the only member of the royal family there to admire the Duchess of Cambridge's hard work.

Princess Beatrice and her dad, the Duke of York, were also there to support Catherine, and look around the rest of the gardens at the Chelsea Flower Show.
