Duchess Camilla’s tropical look brings back the birthday vibes at Sandringham engagement with Prince Charles

Duchess Camilla’s tropical look for an engagement at Sandringham with Prince Charles has brought back the birthday vibes as fans dubbed them a “beautiful couple”. 


From Kate Middleton’s dresses to the reason why the Royal Family wears blue, royal fashion has always been surrounded by fascination and excitement. Every time a senior member of the extended Royal Family steps out at an engagement or event, their choice of outfit is often full of meaning and significant details many might have missed. The Duchess of Cornwall is no exception and Duchess Camilla’s golden sunflower brooch and the reason she wore blue for her recent British Vogue debut have caught people’s attention. Now her latest engagement has seen Duchess Camila’s tropical look take centre stage.

Previously worn by the future Queen Consort just a few weeks earlier, this vibrant wardrobe staple has brought back definite birthday vibes… 

The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall might spend most of their time at their London home, Clarence House, but Norfolk is also a very special place to them and the Royal Family. On July 27th they visited the Sandringham Flower Show was held nearby to Sandringham House in the county, with sweet snaps shared of the day. 

“Blooming marvellous! 🌻🌸 The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall today attended the Sandringham Flower Show - now in its 139th year!” the caption said, before revealing, “The Prince inspected the Show’s Guard of Honour, the King’s Lynn Air Cadets, and presented Jubilee medals to the 677 Army Air Corps Squadron.”

The Flower Show hosts many of the top nurseries, leading garden designers and horticultural specialists of East Anglia. Perhaps to complement the natural theme, Duchess Camilla’s tropical look from her birthday lunch was chosen.

This patterned shirt dress features everything from toucans to lemurs complete with teal-green leaf motifs. According to reports this jungle-print dress is from Bombshell and it features elegant ¾ length sleeves and a relaxed collar. 

It couldn’t have been a more wonderful choice for wearing amongst the stunning blooms all around her and Prince Charles at the show. Duchess Camilla previously wore this same dress when she attended a birthday lunch hosted for her by The Oldie magazine in London.

At the lunch it was revealed Duchess Camilla’s intending to follow Prince Philip’s 'philosophy’ and chatted animatedly with esteemed guests including Sir Derek Jacobi and Gyles Brandreth. It’s clear Duchess Camilla's tropical look is a favorite of hers to re-wear it in such quick succession. 

And fans were delighted to see her wear it again, with one declaring admiringly, “The duchess looks beautiful 🌻🌞”.

“Great photo of the Duchess,” another person agreed, as others praised how she and Prince Charles looked together.

The Prince of Wales and Duchess Camilla’s Sandringham visit comes ahead of their Commonwealth Games appearance on behalf of the Queen on July 28th.
