Top Gun: Maverick landed in movie theaters in May and has continued to amass huge success, leaving fans likely wondering how and where they can watch the Tom Cruise film at home.

From the moment the first Top Gun: Maverick trailer landed, teasing the return of Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell after three decades, it was clear that fans of the original film were in for a treat. The excitement built after we saw Tom Cruise take to the red carpet alongside Kate Middleton and Prince William with his surprising shoe choice at the premiere. And the movie hasn’t disappointed since its May release, with Top Gun: Maverick smashing a record and knocking Titanic off a huge box office spot.

Whilst thousands of people have now seen the Top Gun sequel in movie theaters there will still be many waiting to be able to watch it at home and sadly, it’s not available to stream for free yet, though you can now purchase a digital copy.

But what is the Top Gun: Maverick release date on Video-on-Demand platforms, how can you watch it and is it on Paramount Plus?

Is Top Gun: Maverick on Paramount Plus?

Given that Top Gun: Maverick is a Paramount Pictures movie it would certainly seem to make sense that when the box office hit becomes available to stream, Paramount Plus will be where it’s headed. However, Paramount Plus have yet to confirm a possible release date for the Tom Cruise epic and so Top Gun: Maverick streaming on this service in future currently remains just speculation.

If the film does eventually make its way onto Paramount Plus, it will be in magnificent company, joining the likes of Yellowstone season 4 and previous installments ahead of Yellowstone season 5 landing in November, as well as Grease, The First Lady and The Twilight Zone.

If you’re a Paramount Plus subscriber then you’re ready and prepared for the day that the service makes any kind of official announcement about Top Gun: Maverick. Paramount Plus is $9.99 per month for US-based subscribers with an annual membership cost of $99.99, whilst it’s £6.99 a month for UK subscribers, with an annual membership cost of £69.90.

The streaming service also has a seven-day free trial (opens in new tab) for anyone who wants to enjoy and fully explore the best that Paramount Plus has to offer before taking the plunge and committing to a monthly or annual subscription.
