When it comes to highly-anticipated Netflix movies, Halle Berry knows how to pack a punch. (No pun intended.) Her MMA drama and directorial debut Bruised nailed a nearly $20-million deal with the platform, and now she is set to star in the streaming service's spy film, Our Man from Jersey, opposite Mark Wahlberg.

After a healthy dosage of lust and irresistible dukes (Bridgerton garnered attention from 63 million households in its first month alone), but now we're ready for an edge-of-your-seat kind of movie night. As any good spy movie would have it, plot specifics are quietly concealed, but entertainment outlets like Variety have dubbed the forthcoming film as a "blue collar James Bond."

David Guggenheim will tackle the screenplay while Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson produce the movie. Considering Halle starred as Jinx alongside 007 (Pierce Brosnan) in Die Another Day, we have a feeling she'll adjust seamlessly to her new role.

When will it stream?

Patience, folks, patience. Our Man from Jersey is slated to begin filming in late 2021, likely around the time Bruised will be available for streaming, though particulars are still to be determined.

Halle's directorial debut follows the story of Jackie Justice who is not only attempting to gain custody of her young son, but challenged with going head-to-head with an up-and-coming fighter everyone has their eyes on. The film premiered at the Toronto Film Festival and stars Shamier Anderson, Adan Canto, Sheila Atim, and Halle in the leading role.

What to watch on Netflix now

Feeling a bit impatient? Can't say we blame you. But there's good news for your upcoming binge session. While we're waiting for the goods, Netflix is keeping us plenty busy with a Tiger King documentary, Bridgerton (naturally), and a forthcoming Dolly Parton tribute concert premiering on April 7 that we'll most likely rewatch on a 9-to-5 basis.

No matter what you're looking forward to catching this year, we recommend being vigilant: Netflix is cracking down on password sharing
