If you're looking for some fresh and gripping TV this month, look no further
November is definitely the month to stay in and do as little as possible. December is looming, bringing with it the joyful but often tiring stream of Christmas outings and celebrations - you need this month to conserve your energy.
While you cosy up on the sofa, we've got the top five shows to stream that will keep you perfectly entertained this month, and put an end to your search for what to watch.
Black Doves season 2
This brilliant spy thriller was a huge hit for Netflix when season 1 was released in 2024. Giving Slow Horses a run for its money, Black Doves season 2 hits the streamer on November 5, with Keira Knightley making a welcome return as Helen Webb, an undercover asset spilling the nation's secrets to mysterious titular organisation.
Still working with her friend and "trigger man" Sam (Ben Whishaw), Helen's unsuspecting husband Wallace (Andrew Buchan), is about to become Prime Minister this season, and her life gets more complicated and dangerous than ever.

Rivals season 2b
Splitting such a deliciously addictive series like Rivals into two parts seems a little criminal, but the wait is finally over for season 2 part b. After the first batch of episodes finished airing in June, it left fans wondering whether Monica was really dead, and hungry for more episodes - they land on our screens on November 11.
Episodes 7-12 pick up where we left our Rutshire favourites, and even with his life in utter turmoil, Tony Baddingham will fight Declan O'Hara to the death over the franchise war. Expect the arrival of secret children, more decadent parties, and tension between Rupert and Taggie that's so palpable you can reach out and touch it.

The Good Daughter
This absolutely unmissable six-part thriller premieres on Sky on November 12, and is adapted from the 2017 novel by the bestselling author writer Karin Slaughter. Rose Byrne and Meghann Fahy play two sisters whose childhood was brutally interrupted by a devastating violent act.
Twenty years later, the Quinn sisters are estranged and have tried their best to put their lives back together. But more tragedy strikes and Charlie and Samantha are drawn back together alongside suspicious characters and pushed into unpicking more hidden agendas.

The Altruists
If you love true crime, you'll be floored by this modern day Bonnie and Clyde tale that airs on Netflix from November 19. Sam Bankman-Fried (Anthony Boyle) and Caroline Ellison (Julia Garner) were a tech power couple who were convicted for what the judge called the "greatest financial fraud" the US had seen after they set up cryptocurrency exchange company FTX.
Both idealistic and committed to "effective altruism," the pair built a multi-billion-dollar empire with the view of giving big sums to charity. But their ambitions ended in a web of corporate fraud, a devastating $8 billion collapse and one of them sentenced to significant jail time.

Yellowjackets season 4
There's good and bad news for fans of this brilliant, genre-bending show. Season 4 is available for your viewing pleasure from November 20 on Paramount+, but sadly, this is the last ever series.
Viewers will finally get answers to the many questions this mystery thriller has raised over the years, and survivors of the plane crash that landed the teenage girls in a violent wilderness all those years ago might finally find peace. If you're yet to start Yellowjackets, I implore you to give it a watch - you'll end up cancelling all your December plans too if you do, because you won't be able to tear your eyes away.
