Dan Walker has once again made it through to another week of Strictly Come Dancing, but not all viewers are pleased as the BBC presenter is once again slated by fans online.

Dan Walker is one of the marmite-like contestants on Strictly Come Dancing who has divided fans completely. Although many think that he's a fantastic asset to the competition and are consistently voting for him and his dance partner Nadiya Bychkova to stay in, others think that he is one of the weaker performers on the show and should have been booted weeks ago.

"Tom didn't even deserve to be in the dance-off tonight in my opinion. Dan may have danced his best dance last night but for me, he is still technically the weakest dancer and it baffles me on far he has come. Dan needs to go home next week now I don't think he'll make the QF," said one fan on Twitter.

"Why is Dan still here. Why #Strictly" said another.

Some believed that the major change to last week's Strictly meant that Dan was able to stay in and Tom Fletcher left. Craig Revel Horwood was absent due to COVID and therefore Dan was marked in a more favorable light than previous weeks.

"I think If Craig had been on the judges' panel tonight Tom and Amy would still be in the competition #Strictly" said one fan who was disappointed with the results.

"Do believe Craig would have prevented this from happening," said another.

Dan defended himself on Twitter and said, "I’m well aware that some people are furious that I’m still dancing, and that’s fine I have never posted any of the thousands of positive messages we get every single week but, in the interests of balance, thank you to everyone who sends stuff like this. See you next week."

He posted a series of sweet messages from fans who sent him positive messages about how much his performances on Strictly meant to them.

There are now just six contestants left in the Strictly competition and the Strictly Come Dancing 2021 final is fast approaching. The competition will continue until Saturday, December 18, when the next winner of Strictly Come Dancing will be crowned.

Strictly will continue on Saturday, November 27, at 6.55pm.
