Nadiya Bychkova is a Strictly professional dancer who is currently teamed up with BBC news presenter Dan Walker—but who is this star, and has she ever won the show?

Nadiya has been one of the Strictly professional dancers since 2017 and has danced with a number of different celebrities. Currently, Nadiya is in a Strictly couple with Dan Walker and the pair are already pegged to be one of the judges' favorite couples. 

But while most of the attention is usually on Nadiya's celebrity partners, we want to learn a little bit more about this Strictly professional. So here is everything you need to know about Nadiya...

Where is Nadiya Bychkova from?

Nadiya is from Luhansk, a city in Eastern Ukraine. Before Strictly, the dancer was a professional ballroom and Latin American dancer, who competed for Slovenia. 

The professional dancer was a two-time World Champion in '10' Dance in both 2014 and 2015.

Has Nadiya Bychkova ever won Strictly?

Since joining Strictly Come Dancing in 2017, Nadiya has been partnered with multiple different celebrities who have all had varying levels of success. However, the professional dancer has never won the competition.

In 2017 she was partnered with Davood Ghadami and made it all the way to the 11th week of the competition. This was by far her most successful stint on the show.

In 2018, she was partnered with Lee Ryan and the pair only made it to the third week of the show. In 2019, and the Series 17 of the show, she was paired with the celebrity partner David James and the pair only made it to the 5th week. 

In 2020, Nadiya did not have a celebrity partner and only featured in the group dances alongside the other professional dancers.

Now in 2021, the star has been partnered with Dan. The couple has so far made it to week 6 of the competition, which is further into the competition than Nadiya made it in 2018 and 2019. 

Is Nadiya Bychkova married?

Nadiya was once married to fellow dancer Sergey Konovaltsev. They wed 8 years ago in 2013, but her marriage to the Russian dancer only lasted two years before the pair separated.

Nadiya is now engaged to Slovenian footballer Matija Skarabot. The couple welcomed a daughter in 2016 who they named Mila who is now five years old.
