The question of who left Strictly Come Dancing this week has no doubt been on many fans’ minds since the celebrities took to the ballroom for their third week and two couples prepared to face the dreaded dance-off.

After the initial excitement of Strictly Come Dancing starting again in September and the announcement of the Strictly Come Dancing 2021 couples, fans’ joy has now been mixed with sadness as their favorite celebrities begin to depart the glitzy competition.

Week 2 saw partners Nina Wadia and Neil Jones eliminated after they failed to wow the judges with their dramatic tango dance. With their score of 24 carrying over from Week 1, the pair accumulated a meager combined score of 42 and found themselves in the dreaded Strictly dance-off against Katie McGlynn and her partner Gorka Márquez. So, which couple was unlucky enough to leave Strictly Come Dancing this week?

Who left Strictly Come Dancing last night?

Anyone still wondering who left Strictly Come Dancing this week might well be sad to discover that it was the brilliant Katie McGlynn and her partner Gorka Márquez.

The talented TV actor, who is best known for her former role as Sinead Tinker on Coronation Street, didn't exactly impress with her performance of American Smooth to Cruella De Vil from Cruella, receiving just 24 points from the show's tough judging panel. After landing in the bottom two against Judi and Graziano, she and Gorka performed their routine for the second time in a nail-bitingly tense dance-off. Unfortunately, despite their best efforts to stay in the competition, they were booted off by three of the four judges.

Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, and Shirley Ballas all chose to save Judi Graziano, while Anton Du Beke opted to save Katie and Gorka.

"I think this is getting tougher and tougher every year, it was so close, it was a really hard decision to take, but I am just going to go with the overall positive picture which was more dance intensive, so I am going to go with Judi and Graziano," said Motsi.

His sentiments were echoed by Craig, who said, "Well I think both couples did really well and improved in the dance-off itself, but there was one couple for me who shone brighter in the performance, and that is Judi and Graziano."
