The question of who left Strictly Come Dancing this week has no doubt been the minds of fans since the celebrities took to the ballroom for their eleventh week and two couples prepared to face the dreaded dance-off.

After the initial excitement of Strictly Come Dancing starting again in September and the announcement of the Strictly Come Dancing 2021 couples, fans’ joy has now been mixed with sadness as their favorite celebrities begin to depart the glitzy competition.

Week two saw partners Nina Wadia and Neil Jones become the first pair eliminated from the series. Hollyoaks star Katie McGlynn and Gorka Marquez became the second couple to be knocked out, followed by Greg Wise and Karen Hauer.

In week five we saw Ugo Monye and Oti Mabuse also leave the competition, followed by Judi Love and Graziano the week after. Adam Peaty and Katya Jones left followed by Sara Davies and Aljaž Škorjanec, Tom Fletcher and Amy Dowden, and then Tilly Ramsay and Nikita Kuzmin last week in week 10.

But who left Strictly Come Dancing this week?

Who left Strictly Come Dancing last night?

Dan Walker and his dance partner Nadiya Bychkova were the tenth couple to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing 2021 during week 11.

The couple was eliminated after being scored as the second-lowest contestants in the show with a score of just 31.

Dan and Nadiya danced the Tango to Santa Maria by Gotan Project and received generally positive feedback from the judges with scores ranging from 7 to 9.

Dan had a tough week after the death of his friend and revealed that he was consoled by partner Nadiya Bychkova after a backstage breakdown. The BBC presenter had also received hate from fans who didn't like his performances and was forced to hit back at critics as viewers shared their disbelief that he was still in the show.

Despite these difficult trials, the presenter took to social media to share that the dance competition had been a wonderful experience that he had thoroughly enjoyed.

Dan said on Twitter, "Well…what a ride! #Strictly has been a truly wonderful experience for me. I enjoyed every second. @NadiyaBychkova is a superstar: kind, encouraging, funny, clever, the best teacher I could ever have hoped for & a great friend. Thanks for the support & thanks for having us"

Dan later said on social media, "I’m sad it’s over but I’m so thankful it happened We had an amazing run & the right 4 people are in the SF - Rose, John AJ & Rhys are all brilliant. I’m so glad everyone has seen the real @NadiyaBychkova this series. She taught me how to dance… I taught her cricket."

Dan Walker was congratulated by fans who were gutted to see him leave, but impressed he made it so far into the competition.

"Can I just say, throughout your time on strictly, you have shown everyone what a gentleman you are. Not only that but, you have also shown Nadiya for who she is as well what a lovely couple you made, congratulations for making it this far," said one fan.

"A joy to watch each week to see how much you were enjoying the whole experience. You both come over as such lovely people and are clearly very much liked by your fellow celebrities and professionals by their reaction. As my friend said, we all need a Dan in our lives!" said another.
