When is the Strictly Come Dancing 2021 final and which couple are the favorite to win? With this year's season of the iconic BBC dance contest well underway and the remaining couples having passed the half way mark, the final is a matter of weeks away.

It hardly feels like any time at all since the couples were revealed ahead of the start date of Strictly 2021—but with a saddened couple saying goodbye to the dance floor every Sunday since it began (including Adam Peaty and Katya Jones, who left Strictly last week) the end is nearing.

The 2021 Strictly run began with 15 couples, all competing in a bid to win the coveted glitter ball trophy. Now, there's just eight couples left, after six eliminations and the sad departure of Robert Webb and Dianne Buswell, due to the comedian's heart condition.

AJ Odudu and Kai Widdrington, Tom Fletcher and Amy Dowden, John Whaite and Johannes Radebe, Rhys Stephenson and Nancy Xu, Sara Davies and Aljaž Skorjanec, Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice, Tilly Ramsay and Nikita Kuzmin and Dan Walker and Nadiya Bychkova are still in the competition ahead of week 8.

But when is the Strictly Come Dancing 2021 final?

When is the Strictly Come Dancing 2021 final?

The Strictly Come Dancing 2021 final will air on Saturday December 18th, a week before Christmas Day.

There will most likely be three couples who will have the privilege to compete in the Strictly Come Dancing 2021 final, giving it their all to win over the public vote and be crowned the winners.

However, the impact of Covid could change the way the final is done, as there is potential for the finale to be moved forward or for less people to compete in the final if cases of the virus mean contestants have to pull out.

Hopefully, all will be well and viewers can settle in for a night of Strictly final fun on December 18th.

Will there be a Strictly Christmas special 2021?

Yes, a Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special for 2021 has been confirmed for BBC One.

Last year, due to the pandemic restrictions, Strictly lovers weren't treated to the same festive sparkle that the Strictly Christmas special usually provides. The 2020 Strictly Christmas special was replaced by a countdown show of the programme's best moments—but this year, the deal real is back!

Judges Anton Du Beke, Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel-Horwood and Motsi Mabuse will feature on the panel as stars take to the floor for jingly Chrimbo routines.

The air date for the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special 2021 has not yet been confirmed, but it will most likely be on the Christmas Day, Christmas Eve or Boxing Day TV schedule.

Who is going to win Strictly Come Dancing 2021?

Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice are the favourites to win Strictly Come Dancing 2021, with odds of the EastEnders star being voted the champion of this series at 3/10.

According to Paddy Power, presenter AJ Odudu is second in the running, with the odds of AJ and partner Kai Widdrington winning at 9/2.

Bake Off winner John Whaite and his partner Johannes Radebe have odds of 7/1, while McFly star Tom Fletcher and Amy Dowden are at 16/1.
