Pamela Anderson confirms 'empowering' memoir - everything we know so far, including release date
After the Hulu series about her infamous marriage to Tommy Lee, Pamela Anderson is ready to tell her own story
Pamela Anderson is ready to tell her story, her way.
Pamela was the focus of Hulu’s Pam and Tommy series, released earlier this year, but the Baywatch icon wasn’t involved in any part of the production.
The series, which starred Lily James in a shock transformation as Pamela and Sebastian Stan as her ex-husband, Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, revisited a tough time for the Barb Wire actress.
Pamela and Tommy’s sex tape was stolen and leaked, damaging Pamela’s credibility as an actress as she tried to breakaway from Baywatch stereotypes.
Sources close to Pamela at the time of the show’s release claimed she felt “violated” and the ordeal “has been very painful” for the star.
In an act of defiance, rather than have her story told by others, Pamela has decided to own the narrative.
The 90s blonde bombshell is having something of a renaissance. Not only is she ready to reclaim her own story, the 90s makeup trends she helped pioneer are back and better than ever and she's starred in Chicago on Broadway.

Her first step in reclaiming her story will be a Netflix special.
Netflix have previously said of the planned special, “Pamela Anderson is ready to tell her story in a new documentary. The film, which has been in the making for several years, will feature the pop culture icon setting the record straight as she looks back on her professional path and her personal journey.”
But, now, it’s been revealed she’ll delve even deeper into her past with a new memoir.
The book, titled Love, Pamela, will be a mix of “vivid prose interspersed with bursts of original poetry”, publisher Headline said in a statement.
Describing the book as “empowering, heartrending and intimate” the book will be released on January 31, 2023.
The official synopsis for the book, as per their publisher, reads, “Yet the Pamela Anderson we think we know, created through happenstance rather than careful cultivation, hid her true story: that of a small-town girl getting tangled up in her own dream.”
“As her star rose, she found herself becoming a fixture of tabloid fodder, at the height of an era when paparazzi tactics were bent on destroying a person’s image and self-esteem.”
“Pamela forged ahead with grace, finding sanctuary in her love of art and literature, and emerged a fiercely devoted mother and activist. Now, having returned to the island of her childhood, after a memorable run starring as Roxie in ‘Chicago’ on Broadway, Pamela is finally telling her story – that of an irrepressible free spirit coming home and discovering herself anew at every turn.”
“We look forward to sharing the book with her fans and readers everywhere next year.”
