Kate Middleton stepped out in a chic Reiss blazer for her first public appearance in months. The trend-setting royal visited a military base to pay tribute to members of the armed forces who took part in Operation Pitting.

Kate Middleton’s dresses might be what she's best known for, but it looks like her wardrobe contains some pretty stylish blazers too. The beige blazer sits perfectly with her outfit which included a simple cream top and wide-leg navy trousers with a matching belt.

A taupe-colored bag from Tusting, called the Mini Holly, rounded off the effortlessly elegant look.

The royal visited the Royal Air Force base Brize Norton in order to meet those who'd partaken in the daring operation. Her visit comes only weeks after it was revealed that Prince William personally helped a former army colleague and his family flee Afghanistan.

The Duchess met with the RAF aircrews and medics who bravely supported evacuees at Kabul Airport in a desperate scramble to help people find safety during the ongoing crisis in Afghanistan. She also met with the hardworking volunteers and civilians who established a repatriation center at RAF Brize Norton.

The full fleet of Brize Norton's RAF transport aircraft flew night and day in order to support the evacuation. This included a record flight for one of their planes which carried a remarkable 439 passengers out of the Afghan capital.

Getting straight back to action after she and Prince William celebrated a major family occasion in France, the Duchess arrived in true style. She borrowed the G-XXEB (The Queen's Helicopter Flight) Sikorsky S-76 helicopter to meet and pay tribute to the bravery of those involved in the evacuation.

The Duchess' public appearance might put paid to the suspicions that she's expecting another baby. Some fans firmly believe that her hair is an indicator that she’s pregnant again
