Duke And Duchess Of Cambridge's MP Calls The Couple ‘Ridiculous'

By Amy Hunt
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been criticised by their very own MP, for being "ridiculous". Emma Dent Coad, who is Labour MP for Kensington and Chelsea, slammed her very own constituents, and stated that the state should not be funding them or their lifestyles.
She was speaking at a Labour conference fringe event entitled Reigning the Monarchy, addressing delegates with a speech about the royal family.
She said, "Their MP thinks the system is ridiculous,"
"We should not be funding them."
Emma is of course MP of the area in which Kensington Palace is situated, which is where Prince Harry and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with Prince George and Princess Charlotte, now live.
MP Emma Coad also took aim at the Duchess of Cambridge's shopping habits. She deemed it "disgusting" that Catherine had bought herself jumpers at an estimated cost of £150 each.
The MP derided the expense, saying that "that's a food bill for a family of four", and stating that, "That's absolutely outrageous."
MP Emma Coad continued in her criticism of the monarchy in general as she carried on with her speech, attacking the BBC for working as a "propaganda machine" for the family.
She accessed the broadcaster of producing "sickeningly gratuitous coverage of anything royal" and attacked them for being "very heavily directed by right-wing politics and the monarchy", in her opinion.
"It is a piece of the whole propaganda machine," she continued.
And just recently, the MP was quoted by The Sun attacking Prince Harry too, claiming he can't actually "fly a helicopter". The politician reportedly said, "Harry can't actually fly a helicopter.
"He tried to pass the helicopter exam about four times and he couldn't get through it at all so he always goes for the co-pilot.
The Labour MP won her seat in the normally Conservative constituency in June's general election. Emma Dent Coad won her seat in Kensington by a majority of just 20 - the first time in over 50 years that a Labour MP has stood in the area.
