Chrissy Teigen's unconventional Christmas tree raises eyebrows
If it’s creative holiday decoration inspirations that you’re after, look no further than Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s most recent Instagram upload
When it comes to holiday decorations, Chrissy Teigen and her family are obviously a creative bunch.
In an Instagram post from earlier this week, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, who are expecting a baby almost two years after losing son Jack, are seen posing by their home's very festive entryway right in front of three different Christmas trees - one of which is certainly confusing the couple’s fans.

The pretty unconventional pick is a pampas tree, a perennial plant that can reach up to 13 feet in height and is defined by long, sharped-edged leaves that fold to grant it a very particular and recognizable look.
Chrissy posted the shots on her own account. In one photo, her and husband John are posing in front of their decorations while Chrissy is holding onto her growing belly. The second image features the couple alongside Vilailuck "Pepper" Teigen, Chrissy's mom, who famously made a touching dedication to late grandson Jack in new cookbook.
The 37-year-old mother-of-two captioned her upload, "we got all dressed up to go to nutcracker but someone (not me) threw up in the car so we came home, took these and now I'm in my jams."
Chrissy’s 43-year-old hubbie commented "We cute tho" while Pepper chimed in saying, "Not me either 😆." Seems like John is the one who got a little nauseous before the show!
The couple’s fans laughed at the whole exchange while zooming in on the photos' background. In addition to the fairly odd-looking (but, to be honest, pretty cool!) tree that the Legends opted for, followers noticed fake snow towards the end of the house's staircase, a beautiful display of ribbon-covered lanterns and a garland-covered staircase that's honestly the envy of all those who celebrate the holidays.

Of course, the pampas tree is what elicited most comments in the captions.
"I feel like the tall brown multitude of cleaning dusters disguised as a tree needs an explanation," one follower noted. "This is a first for me."
"Girl what is that tree 😖😖," someone else commented.
"Love the tree. Where do you get it?," a third user asked.
But there is one more revelation that was made on Instagram that has got fans of the couple all excited: it seems as if Chrissy's pal, comedian Whitney Cummings, might have just publicly divulged the gender of the Legends' unborn child.
"Oh no is my god daughter being a brat!," Whitney wrote in the comments section. Dare we say… congratulations are in order?
Just a few months ago, during a recording of Whitney's own podcast Good For You, Chrissy actually asked the host to be her soon-to-be-born child's godmother.
"I feel like I'm so cut out to be a godmother," Whitney said to her pal. "And I will be a mother, I will adopt or do something at some point."
John and Chrissy are already parents to 6-year-old daughter Luna and 4-year-old son Miles.
