Grey's Anatomy alumni Katherine Heigl has waded in on the unexpected reunion of Izzie and Alex and her reaction is hilarious.
The 42-year-old actress left the hit ABC drama more than 10 years ago - if you haven't watched the show here's how you can watch Grey's Anatomy online.
But fans of the show have always thought of her fondly. And this week they just loved her a whole lot more when she gave her views on the unexpected reunion of her former character Izzie and Dr. Alex Karev - played by Justin Chambers.
Viewers will recall how Alex was written off the show but was brought back for Season 16 episode Leave a Light On, which aired last March. And while Katherine admitted she "didn't see it" she was told about the storyline which sees Alex leave his wife Jo Wilson (Camilla Luddington) in Seattle, as he reunites with his ex Izzie to raise their twins living on a horse farm in Kansas.

Although Katherine's former character Izzie doesn't actually appear in the episode she didn't hold back with her views on the storyline. She said, "Wasn't he with someone? Listen, isn't that an a**hole move?'
Her hilarious response to the twist comes after showrunner Krista Vernoff defended the choice to write the show storyline in this way.
Speaking last April she said, "At the end of the day, there were three choices. Kill Alex off-camera; have Alex be alive and in Seattle — and still married to Jo — and we just never see him; or [reunite him] with Izzie."
Fans who will be wondering whether Katherine would ever make a comeback to the show for special appearances, like favorites Patrick Dempsey and TR Knight, their hopes look dashed.
Speaking about the possibility, Katherine, who currently stars in Firefly Lane said, 'I'm super focused on this show and my passion for it. I would never say never but it's not likely.'
