To say that I get excited about pizza ovens like the Gozney Arc Lite is an understatement. My family has been running a pizza business for over a decade, so I’ve spent years stretching dough, working the ovens, and learning exactly what separates a good pizza oven from a great one. However, now that I live in a small urban flat, where space is tight, most ovens feel completely out of reach.
If you’ve ever tried to shop for the best pizza ovens, you’ll know the problem: they’re often big, heavy, and designed with sprawling gardens in mind. That’s exactly why the Gozney Arc Lite caught my attention. It promises the same performance the brand is known for, but in a much more compact, accessible, and affordable design.
And that's exciting for so many reasons. Firstly, it’s from Gozney, the pizza-making gods. Secondly, it’s their smallest oven yet, which means you can make great pizza from even the most compact courtyard. And thirdly, that smaller size makes it more affordable too. Some are already calling it the best value pizza oven on the market. It's been a long time coming, but I think we've finally found the solution for anyone who thought a proper pizza oven was out of reach.

Size-wise, the Gozney Arc Lite s their most compact model yet, even smaller than the Tread, which was designed with extreme portability in mind. That makes it ideal for smaller outdoor spaces or places that might be tricky to otherwise fit a pizza oven in your garden. And, even better, it's much easier to store when you’re not using it.
Despite the reduced footprint, it still comes with all the trappings for which Gozney is revered. The Arc Lite is robust, made with the same materials and flame dynamics as their flagship ovens; designed to cook a technically perfect pizza with a rolling flame that will have your oven up to 500°C; and the quick ignition and intuitive controls make it easy to use. . Importantly, the Arc Lite can still perfectly cook a classic 12-inch pizza comfortably, so your margheritas don’t need to shrink.
Naturally, the smaller size means a lower price point too, which is why lots of people are rushing to grab a slice of Gozney's success from the Arc Lite. It’s particularly well suited to anyone short on space, or first-time buyers who want that premium Gozney performance without committing to a larger, more expensive model.
What is the Gozney Arc Lite like to use?
Behind the scenes, I’ve been putting the Gozney Arc Lite through its paces and, whilst you'll get the full details in my review, I can tell you that it is, unequivocally, a dream to use.

If you’re new to pizza ovens, the controls are really intuitive. They're simple dials that give you complete control, but make it hard to mess up. There’s a hotter setting for thin, lightly topped pizzas that need a quick blast of heat, and a cooler, slower option for thicker bases or more delicate dishes. That flexibility means it’s not just for pizza either. You can use it for everything from salmon fillets to roasted vegetables and small joints of meat, essentially anything that benefits from a controlled, high-heat cook.
You'll notice that the Arc Lite has Gozney's signature lateral flame which, rather mesmerizingly, rolls along the oven, like a wood fire. This means you get that gorgeous leopard-spotting on the base of your pizzas as well as beautiful caramelisation and balanced flavours too.
Which accessories would I need with a Gozny Arc Lite?
As ever, if this is your first pizza oven, you’ll need a few accessories to get started. One of the things I want everyone to know before buying a pizza oven is that accessories matter. They make the difference between burning your hands, making a hole in your pizza, and making a mess and producing the kind of pizza that an Italian would be proud of.
Gozney sells an Arc Lite Bundle, which makes a great gift to yourself if you want everything in one go. If you’d rather start with the basics, I’d recommend:
Getting your pizza from prep station to oven is one of the most overlooked steps, but it’s absolutely critical. A poor transfer can misshape your base or cause toppings to slide, undoing all your hard work. The flat-nosed aluminium blade lets you glide the pizza cleanly onto the stone, while the lightweight design and smooth beech wood handle give you the control and confidence to place it exactly where it needs to be.
An even cook relies on regular turning, especially in high-heat ovens where hot spots are inevitable. A turning paddle is essential for rotating your pizza quickly without damaging the base or losing heat from the oven. The slim, stainless steel blade slides easily underneath, while the long handle keeps your hands safely away from the flame. The perforated surface is a clever touch too, allowing excess flour to fall away and preventing that bitter, burnt taste on the crust.
Slicing your pizza properly is the final step, and it makes more of a difference than you might think. A rocker cutter gives you a clean, decisive cut in one motion, rather than dragging toppings like some wheel cutters can. The weighty stainless steel blade presses straight through the crust, while the sturdy handle keeps everything steady, so you get neat, even slices without disrupting your toppings.
What about Gozney's other pizza ovens?
the Gozney Arc Lite is one in a line-up of impressive Gozney ovens. If you've fallen in love with their technical expertise and unrivalled performance, here's a quick look at the other models that I love:
Probably the closest to the Arc Lite, the Tread is designed to be a portable pizza oven. It is even smaller and comes in a bundle with a roof rack and carry bag, so you can take your pizza to the beach and more.
This bigger sibling to the Arc Lite was originally launched as a compact model for smaller spaces. It's a neat step-up if you want to squeeze a larger pizza, or even a couple of bases, in at the same time.
The Dome is one of Gozney's bigger ovens. It could easily fit a couple of pizzas in, the gas is easy to control, and the oven is nothing short of stunning. It's brilliant for hosting pizza parties.
All in all, the Gozney Arc Lite is a very smart addition to the brand's range of pizza ovens. It delivers the same premium performance and design the brand is known for, but in a smaller, more accessible package. This is your official invitation and incitation to host a pizza party - and send me an invite.
