The trend of bringing personality back to our homes is showing no signs of going anywhere; in fact, it seems to be becoming a more steadfast trend. The latest proof of this can be found in Benjamin Moore's confident green Colour of the Year 2027, Webster Green.

Bolder, more playful colours are a consistent pattern in the interior paint colour trends we've seen so far this year, and we couldn't be happier about it. After seeing Dulux's Colour of the Year 2027, Soulful Sage, announced just last month, we were hoping for more colourful hues from other brands, and Benjamin Moore has seriously delivered.

The brand is calling Webster Green a "Confident hue with undeniable personality... a quintessential green that transcends styles and timeframes with ease." And after taking one look at the rich, yet sophisticated shade, we couldn't agree more.

If you are looking to add personality to your home, opting for a richer, more daring colour like green is a fantastic way of doing it. And whilst it can feel daunting to use such a colour in your home, finding a shade that is timeless like this one is your key to long-lasting satisfaction.

"Webster Green is a quintessential green, with a crisp finish that exemplifies this enduring relevance and classic appeal that endures the ebb and flow of trend cycles," says the brand.

"From its presence in Benjamin Moore's archival hand-drawn renderings to forward-thinking points of inspiration, it is both timeless and timely. It nods to the palettes that have shaped interior design over the decades, while connecting with the contemporary desire for trusted hues that create grounded yet distinctive spaces," they add.

Now, greens have been rising in popularity for years, from the delicious pistachio green trend to the repeatedly adored sage green one, so it's no surprise we're immediate fans of Webster Green. However, the more elevated shade of this makes it much easier to add to our homes and preexisting exteriors.

It's clear the brand has stayed ahead with the interior colour trends that are popular right now; however, they've prioritised longevity with their Colour of the Year.

"A growing interest in colours with a timeless quality are making their way into the home. Webster Green reflects this appeal by pairing reassuring stability with optimistic energy," starts Helen Saw, Director of Marketing at Benjamin Moore.

"Its composed nature feels both rooted and forward-looking, while enhancing spaces that feel distinctive, collected and continually new," she adds.

This grounding nature is why it makes such a great colour choice for colour drenching a room, and the fact that it pairs so well with similar earth tones and natural textures.

If you need any more convincing, then green colours like these are considered happy colours to use in your home and have been proven to improve your overall mood when around them.
