3 reasons we’re excited about Prezzo’s new healthier menu

Promotional feature PREZZO

Prezzo, one of our favourite pizza and pasta restaurants, has launched a brand new menu – and we’re hooked.

Planning a lunch with friends or date night dinner anytime soon? Then get along to your nearest Prezzo to try its great new menu.

Always our go-to for authentic Italian classics, Prezzo listened to its customers when they said they wanted more vegetable-based alternatives and lighter options.

And these new creations really hit the spot – great-tasting pasta made from pea flour, gnocchi made from beetroot and plenty of unexpected flavour twists. Think delicious dishes that are packed with nutritional ingredients, light on calories and have fewer empty carbs.

Curious? Here’s why we love the new menu (and can’t wait to try it…)

1. The veg-based twists

Let’s face it, these days a lot of us are opting for a more plant-based diet, yet there’s still the stigma that vegetable dishes don’t taste as amazing as their meaty counterparts. All that is about to change.

Made using pea flour, Prezzo’s colourful new Mediterranean vegetable pea fusilli is packed full of the good stuff, boasting lots of roasted veggies and fresh herbs. Plus, clocking in at only 328kcals – yes, really – it makes for a good light lunch that’ll still fill you up.

2. Irresistible colours

Forget boring old brown pasta, Prezzo has started a colour revolution!

Traditional gnocchi gets a fresh and flavoursome update with the addition of earthy beetroot and tangy goats cheese, plus the bright purple colour almost makes the dish almost too pretty to eat. It’s another nutritious and lower-cal option (381kcals) for all the taste and less of that too-full feeling.

Other new dishes we love include this zingy warm Puy lentil, roasted beetroot & butternut squash salad – perfect for a quick bite with friends.

Plus, you’ll still find all the Italian classics Prezzo’s famous for, including delicious starters like this Caprese salad with creamy burrata and pesto, sharing antipasti platters, pizza and pasta, many of which have been updated with exciting new flavours.

3. And for afters…

Lighter mains mean that, yes, you do have space for dessert and you’ll be spoilt for choice with new treats like this salted caramel chocolate tart. We like ours accompanied by a shot of strong espresso, Italian-style. Is there any other way to end a fabulous meal?
