Our top 10 foodie apps are a must-download for food and wine lovers, with apps for special diets, booking restaurants and grocery shopping.
The right apps make your life easier, but there are so many to choose from and it can get confusing. That’s why we’ve picked out our 10 must-follow food and wine apps, sharing why we love them and how much they cost with links so that you can download them too.
Our top 10 includes a calorie-counting app that has the numbers for more than 5 million foods (be warned: it’s addictive), a recipe app from the biggest selling debut cookbook of all time and a 5:2 meal planner app that’s a must-have for anyone on a fast day. Want to make sure you never pick up a dud bottle of wine again? There’s an app for that in our top 10. Want to get the temperature and cooking time right for a leg of lamb you’ve got from the butcher? There’s an app for that too.
We put together this list after launching woman&home’s first app, Eating Smart, which features gluten free, diary free and vegan recipes that you wouldn’t even realise have been tweaked in this way.
Why we love it: New from woman&home, the Eating Smart app features gluten free, dairy and vegan recipes to inspire on a special diet. You won’t believe these recipes aren’t the original version! It’s free to download with the option to buy more recipes for the special diet that suits you for just 99p for 20 recipes. The creamy fish pie, which is actually dairy free, has to be our favourite.
How much? It’s free with special diet recipes, with the option to download more recipes in packs of 20 for 99p each.
