Ruth Langsford unveils her stunning new partywear collection - and it's perfect for Christmas
Ruth Langsford always looks stylish in her fashion picks on screen, so it's no surprise that her own collections with QVC has gone down a storm with fans across the UK.
And now, she's launched a partywear range specifically for the festive season - which couldn't be more perfectly timed!
Full of glittering, show-stopping gowns, Ruth's new QVC UK collection provides a few brilliant options for your December nights out - be it a glamorous night out with friends, or a more formal work event.
The Loose Women star confessed that her own need to organise her outfits for any Christmas parties was one of the main inspirations behind the new, three-dress range.
She admitted, "This is the season when you’re probably going to a party and you’ll probably go to more than one. I like to plan, and I prefer not to wait for that party to be looming but to get my party wear organised as early as possible – hence designing my collection!"
However, Ruth is the first to admit that she hasn't always got it right when dressing for those fancy celebrity bashes. She confessed, "I’m very lucky to be invited to some glamourous events occasionally and I do understand the stress of dressing up for a big night.
"I’ve made many mistakes over the years with certain dresses. I remember one off-the-shoulder dress, which was so off-the-shoulder it kept showing my bra, and I was constantly pulling it up which wasn’t very glamourous or comfortable – I felt really self-conscious."

But it seems the error actually made it clear to Ruth what she needed when it came to designing her own glamorous eveningwear range.
She said, "So, my main focus when I was designing my eveningwear collection with qvcuk.com was for it to be comfortable, practical, but also very glamourous and stylish and that’s quite hard to achieve."
We reckon she's hit the nail on the head. Included in the collection is a stunning full-length sequin dress (£119.98), available in both a gold and black colour for a truly show-stopping look.
Ruth's second offering is a more affordable knee-length black mesh dress (£70), which would be ideal for less formal party occasions.
And there's also the super-wearable, but super-stylish, Victoriana lace dress (£54.98), on sale in muted black colour. It's stretchy too, making it ideal for any indulgent dinners!
The This Morning star admitted that the "very comfortable" sequinned evening gown is her favourite of the collection, which she designed with a specific fashion complaint of hers in mind.
She said, "With my long sequin evening dress, I wanted something that you can wear your own favourite bra with. I find so many evening dresses you end up having to go and buy some special halter neck or low cleavage bra or push up bra or something that crosses round your waist, I find all that very difficult and also very uncomfortable.
"This dress, although glamorous, has a ‘v-neck’ and a ‘v’ at the back so you can wear your normal bra, and I’ve designed the shoulder straps wide enough to cover any bras." It certainly sounds like a winner to us!
Ruth also admitted that as well as customers, her husband, Eamonn Holmes is also proving to be a big fan of her new collection. She said, "I’m not sure I’ve shown him the entire collection to him yet. He has seen the photographs of me in my sequin dress and he said it has ‘va va vooom!’ So, I think from that comment, we’ll take that he likes it!"
