Head to Hobbs for holiday-ready linen and the most elegant summer dresses you’ll find on the high street
Wondering where to shop for a chic summer wardrobe? Hobbs has you covered

You’re probably familiar with Hobbs London’s sophisticated occasionwear and the chic wool coats that the Princess of Wales has in her wardrobe, but the British brand should be your go-to for a stylish summer wardrobe, too.
From sun dresses to chic sandals, discover perfect pieces for warm weather days in the Hobbs London New In section. Whether it’s new season silhouettes or the bestselling styles that have returned in reimagined prints, you’ll instantly fall for these timeless designs.
I’m a fashion editor who spends a lot of time shopping, and even I hadn’t thought of Hobbs for cotton tops to take on holiday or linen separates to beat the heat. Comfort and quality were clearly key when curating this collection, and the details are truly beautiful. Look out for mandarin collars, broderie fabrics, hand-painted florals, and - best of all - dresses with pockets.
Broderie is a big trend this summer, and the scalloped edge of this top will look very pretty over black or navy trousers. When the weather’s a little chilly, layer a jumper over the top to see just a hint of the high neckline underneath.
Nothing beats a straw bag in the summer months, and this one is roomy enough for all your essentials. I’ve often found that straps tend to break on similar styles, but these are made from leather rather than straw, so this tote will stand the test of time.
It’s early in the season to be calling it, but this has to be a serious contender for the best wedding guest dress of the summer. Between the hand-painted floral print, V-neckline and shirred details, this tea dress would be so easy to wear with wedges.
Cotton is such a winner in the warm weather, and the fit and flare shape of this midi is very flattering. Note the cutwork detailing on the hem of the skirt.
A great alternative to white jeans, these cropped trousers will show off your shoes perfectly. There’s a slight stretch in the fabric, and the wide leg fit is so versatile when it comes to styling.
Available in UK sizes 6 to 22, you can choose from petite or regular lengths in this dress. Wear it with white trainers to keep things casual, or dress it up with heels and gold jewellery for a date night.
So often I think of linen separates as pared-back and plain in design, so I’m loving the black and white floral motif on this co-ord.
Hobbs also has an impressive selection of trouser suits, trench coats and mother-of-the-bride outfits, as well as a petite range and a limited edition collection. The suede shirt from the limited line flew off the virtual shelves!
New customers can sign up for 10% off, and Hobbs offers free delivery on orders over £150.
