We found the most versatile summer flats to wear during lockdown

best summer flats

The time has finally come for us to ditch the heavy winter shoes and boots – hurrah!

With spring now in full swing, it’s time to embrace the warmer weather and adjust our footwear accordingly. However, whilst we’re currently spending more time at home with the lockdown and social distancing restrictions in place, we understand that fancy footwear might not be at the top of your agenda right now.

Practicality and comfort are taking priority as we adjust to this new way of living. The heels have been put away for now and our slippers have been getting more wear than ever! And whilst there will always be a place for our favourite cosy slippers, it can sometimes be nice to feel a little more put together at home. This is when something in the middle is required.

With this in mind, we’ve found the perfect compromise. Enter the stylish summer flat. Not only do they look great, but they’re also comfortable and ideal for pottering around the house or nipping in and out to the garden.

So whilst these relaxed styles might not be 'garden shoes' per se, they’re still perfect for slipping on to do the odd job outside, whatever that might be. Perhaps some light pruning is on the cards, or simply some time spent relaxing and soaking up the sun?

What’s more, when the time comes again they’ll also make the perfect addition to your holiday wardrobe too. From city breaks to seaside strolls you'll want to pack a pair of these.
