If you’re a beauty lover, it’s safe to assume you probably also love Space NK. The gleamingly chic stores, the the effortless curation of cult and big brands and genuinely unbiased advice all add up to a very pleasing (and dangerously easy) way to spend a few bob on beauty buys. Trust me, I’ve been there. Feeling the urge to splurge? Allow me add an extra layer of expertise and reveal this summer’s hottest buys in Space NK, the brands that are outselling everyone else and why you need them in your basket (real or virtual) now.
Becca Shimmering skin Perfector in Champagne Pop, £32
It’s no suprise this gorgeous powder is Space NK’s no.1 selling skin illuminator at the moment with 6 sold every hour. The shade suits everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) and doesn’t look sparkly or metallic like some highlighters do, just healthy glowy and warm.
NARS Bronzing Powder in Laguna, £28
A total classic, this bronzer still out sells ’em all, shifting over 300 a week at Space NK Stores and I’d bet the lion’s share are repeat customers. So why the cult status? Once you’ve used this matte, finely-milled, easily blendable, realistically shaded bronzer, you’ll never go near your face with a sparkly orange powder again.
Lipstick Queen Frog Prince, £22
I know what you’re thinking… A GREEN lipstick is outselling all the reds, nudes and pinks at Space NK?! Yes actually, for the second summer in a row. Why? Lipstick Queen Poppy King’s innovative PH reactive lipstick slicks on clear then transforms into your lips’ perfect subtle pink, while feeling all soft and cushiony like a balm.
Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder, £29
Loose powder is nothing new, just something incredibly useful that we all need in our daily beauty routine. No wonder then that Laura Mercier’s super-fine and silky version, which never settles into lines and has a hint of soft-focus candlelight about it, is a consistent best-seller in Space NK stores.
Emma Hardy Moringa Cleansing Balm, £38
If you’ve tried this you’ll know why Space NK are shifting one of these for every hour of the day. This unctuous cleanser melts into skin, drawing out every little speck of makeup and grime without that disturbing sqeaky feeling you know is basically parched in clean’s cothing. It smells like an absolute dream too.
The one to watch…
Hourglass Vanish Seamless Foundation Stick, £42
It’s not every day cult brand Hourglass drop a new product, so I’m VERY excited about this foundation stick, as are the buyers at Space NK who have predicted this will be the sell-out of the summer. If you’ve tried stick foundations before you’ve probably loved the convenience, portability and hard-wearing formulas but not loved so much the heavy matte finish. Well, this luxurious little number has the good without the bad. The formula glides on and evens out skin, is totally water and sweat-proof but doesn’t look thick or cakey. The angled nib gets right into annoying angles like around the nose and eyes, and as with all Hourglass products, is classily packaged so you’ll be proud to get it out anywhere. Love.
