This chocolate and coffee mousse recipe has no added sugar or cream and uses fat free yogurt for a delicious low calorie chocolate dessert
- 100g (4oz) good quality dark chocolate, plus extra to decorate
- 2 whole free-range eggs
- 1tbsp coffee essence (such as Camp coffee)
- 4 free-range egg whites
- 0% fat Greek yogurt, to serve
- 6 cappuccino cups or ramekins
Melt the chocolate in a bowl over a pan of barely simmering water, then set aside to cool slightly. Whisk together the whole eggs with the coffee essence before beating in the chocolate.
In a clean bowl, whisk the egg whites until soft peaks form, then fold through the chocolate mixture until evenly combined. Spoon into ramekins or cappuccino cups and chill for at least 1 hour. When ready to serve, grate some dark chocolate over the top of the mousses, add a dollop of yogurt and a little more grated chocolate.
