Following Prince Charles testing positive for Covid for the second time, Her Majesty the Queen has tested positive for Covid-19. Her Majesty is experiencing mild symptoms but expects to continue light duties at Windsor this week, Buckingham Palace has announced today.

While the Queen's Platinum Jubilee should be the focus of Her Majesty's 2022, unfortunately, she's having to contend with successive bad news.
First, there was the outrage over "silence" on Prince Andrew and the settling of his court case, and now, the Queen has tested positive for COVID-19.
In a statement released today (February 20), Buckingham Palace said, “Buckingham Palace confirm that The Queen has today tested positive for Covid. Her Majesty is experiencing mild cold-like symptoms but expects to continue light duties at Windsor over the coming week.”
“She will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all the appropriate guidelines.”
This follows Prince Charles catching the virus for a second time earlier this month.
On February 10, the official Twitter for Clarence House made the announcement that the Prince of Wales was self-isolating.

"This morning The Prince of Wales has tested positive for COVID-19 and is now self-isolating," the announcement said.
"HRH is deeply disappointed not to be able to attend today's events in Winchester and will look to reschedule his visit as soon as possible."

Fans have been quick to send Her Majesty well wishes.
Writing on Twitter, fans have written messages including “Get well soon. God save the Queen” and “Here’s hoping for a speedy recovery. God save the Queen.”
Others were quick to acknowledge her tireless work ethic, suggesting Her Majesty rest up.
A fan commented, “She’s made of some incredible stuff. All respect to you Ma’am for continuing your duties even when unwell.”
One wrote, “wouldn’t it be wiser to take a break from light duties? She’s in her 90s” and another added, “Props for her for continuing but she needs to rest and rehydrate.”
