She's a famous fan of the BBC show Strictly Come Dancing - and it's now been revealed that Duchess Camilla and husband Prince Charles are in talks with producers about holding a special live show at Buckingham Palace.

If you're a big fan of BBC's dancing show you may already know that the royal is a big fan - and even appeared on the Strictly Come Dancing final in 2020 - watching the celebrities as they did their final dances.

While the Queen, who is said to have given her permission for the show to go ahead in Buckingham Palace, is also said to be a fan of Strictly, Camilla revealed recently

So, this news, which according to a BBC source has also been organised by husband Prince Charles, will be a delight to royals fans.

The source told The Sun newspaper, (opens in new tab) “Charles and Camilla are very much driving this and the BBC couldn’t quite believe what was being offered.

“Strictly at Buckingham Palace is just TV dreamland. It should be a wonderful spectacle.”

The live episode every year, which is normally the quarter or semi-finals, is broadcast from an iconic destination such as the Blackpool Tower ballroom. However, having the show broadcast from somewhere as famous as Buckingham Palace, where numerous of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations were held, will be a key moment for the show.

Both the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall, who just yesterday made some very sweet friends at this 230-year-old Cornish food festival, are both fans of dancing. Prince Charles surprised everyone with his dance moves at a pre-Jubilee party earlier this month.

A few minutes after his arrival, at the event which combats loneliness across communities, he was joined on the dance floor by dancer Bridget to perform a tango to a rendition of Just Softly As a Morning Sunrise.

The professional dancer also revealed that the duo spoke about important issues following their performance. "He was delightful to talk to and we had a good chat," she said. "I was actually talking to him about environmental issues and saying the work that he does is amazing."

Camilla, on a separate occasion, had the chance to dance with one of the professional Strictly Come Dancing professionals. At a tea dance in 2017, Brendan Cole took Camilla by the hand and danced the cha cha with her - much to the delight of the royal.

Brendan said at the time about the dance, which wasn't planned, "She knows her way around a dance floor - don't you worry about that. She was absolutely delightful, I didn't know if I was breaking protocol or not but I did ask her if it was OK to ask her to dance, and she said 'I'd love to'."
