The Queen has proven she still rules in the style department, rocking an on-trend pair of shoes for her first public appearance since the Platinum Jubilee celebrations ended last weekend.
Her Majesty joined Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla at Windsor Castle on Monday to install her daughter-in-law as a Royal Lady of the Order of the Garter, an honor that is typically reserved for members of the Royal Family or the spouse of the monarch.
The investiture of the insignia, which was held in the Berkshire residence's Throne Room, was attended by multiple senior royals, including Princess Anne, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex.
Prince Andrew was excluded from the Order of the Garter after the Prince of Wales and Prince William raised their concerns about his involvement with the Queen, according to inside sources.
After the ceremony had wrapped, the Royal Family released a photo of Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla adorned in their customary velvet robes and plumed hats, while standing proudly next to Her Majesty.

The Queen is pictured wearing a long-sleeved silver and white dress decorated with a blue Garter sash while she clutches her wooden cane in one hand and her reading glasses in the other. The walking stick, which helps to ease the monarch's mobility issues, has now appeared at royal engagements on numerous occasions and is expected to become a staple part of her daily wardrobe.
The Queen paired her pearl necklace and earrings with a luxurious brooch, believed to be valued at about £120,000, as well as a matching silver handbag. It was Her Majesty's shoes, however, that truly caught royal fans' attention – prompting many to praise the great-grandmother for wearing metallic footwear despite her physical challenges.
"HM’s still in her heels What an accomplishment!" one impressed person wrote on Twitter.
"The Queen how cute in her silver shoes and matching handbag," another fan commented. "Bless her heart."
The Queen last wore the Mary Jane style block heels, which first rose to popularity in the 90s, at the Order of the Garter in 2018. At the time, she embraced the signature dress code of the service, donning a plush velvet cloak and a red velvet sash over a white gown with a dramatic Tudor bonnet.
