The Queen has found the 'perfect solution' to navigating the grounds of Windsor Castle with her mobility issues, a royal insider has revealed.

Her Majesty has reportedly been suffering from leg stiffness, making it difficult for her to walk comfortably around her 13-acre Berkshire property.

The Queen has added a high-tech mobility aid to her daily routine at Windsor Castle, according to a royal insider.

It's no secret that Her Majesty has been battling health issues for half a year now, with leg stiffness reportedly being the latest ailment to strike the hardworking 95-year-old. The Queen also had Covid in February, just a few months after she was admitted to hospital overnight for 'preliminary investigations.'

The decline of the monarch's physical strength has shed doubt over her attendance at Prince Philip's memorial service on Tuesday, March 29, with some sources claiming that her decision to show up will be made at the last minute.

It has now been revealed that the Queen has found a clever tool to navigate the grounds of Windsor Castle—a golf buggy. The great-great-grandmother has been using a £62,000 cart to maneuver herself around the sprawling Berkshire property without aggravating her stiff legs, according to an insider.

The news comes shortly after it was revealed that the Queen has had a 'wheelchair-friendly' lift installed at her Scottish residence of Balmoral Castle.

"The cart arrived within the past fortnight," a source at Windsor told to the Sun. "The Queen and her aides have already used it and last week she took the dogs out in it for a tour around the private grounds."

It was announced that the Queen has left Buckingham Palace earlier this month to permanently live at Windsor Castle, where she is understood to be at her happiest. The addition of the golf buggy, which has been nicknamed the 'Queen mobile', is likely to enhance her quality of life at the 13-acre residence by enabling her to maintain her independence whilst remaining seated.

“Her Majesty is struggling with stiffness in her legs, so the cart is a perfect solution to getting her around. She’s been through a lot of physical battles recently—with COVID and her back sprain, which would take its toll on anyone, let alone someone who turns 96 next month.”

The electric cart, believed to be made by Danish firm Garia with Mercedes-Benz, can travel at a speed of 43mph and features a mini-fridge, cup-holders, an infotainment screen, a heated windscreen, and Bluetooth speakers.

Sounds like the perfect Sunday cruiser to us.
