The Queen’s special birthday phone call has been revealed.

  • The Queen had a special birthday phone call with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as the pair marked the country’s Victoria Day.
  • Prime Minister Justin shared a photo to give fans a rare insight into his communication with the British monarch.

The Queen shared a special birthday phone call with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as the duo marked Canadian public holiday Victoria Day.

Prime Minister Justin took to his Instagram page to share a photo to give fans a special insight into his communication with the Queen, letting his nearly four million followers know what the duo address when they chat to each other.

Alongside the photo the Prime Minister wrote, ‘I spoke on the phone with Queen Elizabeth II today. We talked about the state of the world, COVID-19, and more.

I also thanked her for the hopeful messages she has sent during these difficult times, and I wished her the very best this Victoria Day. 🇨🇦’.

Victoria Day marks one of the three birthdays that the Queen celebrates.

It came about back in 1901 to celebrate the birthday of Queen Victoria following her death.

It is now celebrated on the last Monday preceding 25th May to mark what is now the official birthday of Queen Elizabeth II, who is also the Queen of Canada.

The Queen has always famously celebrated multiple birthdays, as she has her actual birthday on 21st April, which she spends in private with her family.

However, to mark the day a 41-gun salute is usually held in Windsor Great Park while a 62-gun salute is held at the Tower of London.

The monarch then holds an official celebration in June on the second Saturday of the month, which is combined with Trooping the Colour.
