We all have worries and anxieties on our mind which keep us awake at night - and it seems royals do, too.

Prince William has revealed what keeps him up at night, speaking on a podcast on Friday.

Appearing on the Outrage + Optimism podcast, Prince William said that he gets"outraged by the inaction" on climate change - particularly at those in positions of power not doing anything about it.

He said, "That's probably a bit of a cliche but that is what I get most troubled about. Especially as I'm in a position of responsibility if you like, or leadership. I feel I can do a lot more if given that ability. So therefore, I don't understand why those who have the levers, don't. I think that's what really upsets me and keeps me awake at night."

The royal appeared on the podcast to chat about his new environmental initiative The Earthshot Prize, which will see £50 million paid out over the next decade, to projects which deal with some of the world's biggest environmental challenges.

The idea behind it is that awards will be given to 50 solutions to the world's gravest environmental problems by 2030. There will be five awards of £1m each year for 10 years, across the worlds of sport, the environment, entertainment, business and philanthropy.

Prince William added that while people should be called out for doing wrong, he’s found that a positive approach and optimism has worked better for him.

He said, "The message when I went to China and talked to the Chinese government about trying to tackle the illegal wildlife trade was very much a case of, how about you guys being the global leaders in conservation? You can take on that mantle and you can really drive it forwards.”

Outrage + Optimism is a weekly podcast which has welcomed the likes of Swedish activist Greta Thunberg and US politician John Kerry.
