Prince William and Kate Middleton are searching for a head gardener for their country Norfolk residence, Anmer Hall which has plenty of land. The royal couple also have a London residence, Kensington Palace, which is based near Hyde Park, but the advert specifies that this role is based in Norfolk.

The ad states, “This position is to lead on all gardening work and oversee the grounds in a private garden on an estate in Norfolk.”

Duchess Catherine is an avid gardener. The royal took part in the Chelsea Flower Show in 2019 and Catherine even made a secret visit to her Chelsea Flower Show garden with her children. At the time she said, “I really feel that nature and being interactive outdoors has huge benefits on our physical and mental wellbeing, particularly for young children.”

Duchess Catherine continued to say, “The #RHSChelsea Back to Nature Garden is a natural, creative place for them to play. I really hope that this woodland that we have created, in a huge collaboration here really inspires families, kids and communities to get outside, enjoy nature and the outdoors and spend quality time together.”

It is clear that the new member of the royal staff will have to meet the high standards that Catherine has set, as her personally designed garden was a huge hit at the prestigious flower show.
