Prince Harry's special bond that 'suffered' as a result of his rift with Prince William

Prince Harry has suffered the deterioration of a special bond in his life as a result of his and Prince William's ongoing rift, according to a royal expert. 

• Prince Harry is said to have treasured his role as an uncle to Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis but has drifted from the Cambridge children amid tensions with Prince William. 
• A royal expert claims that William's relationship with Prince William and Kate Middleton's kids has gone 'downhill' since he stepped away from royal life with Meghan Markle.

Having confirmed that they would be stepping away from their roles as senior working royals and relocating from Frogmore Cottage to California back in 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have set up home in Montecito with children Archie and Lilibet. 

But their exit from the royal spotlight didn't come without a price, with Prince Harry facing tensions between him and once-close family members, including his brother, Prince William. 

With Harry previously confessing that he and William are "on different paths" and telling Oprah he sees his brother as "trapped" in the royal family system, a royal pro has given an insight into another part of the Duke of Sussex's life that has suffered in the wake of the fall out.

Royal expert Christine-Marie Liwag explained, "There's nothing more fun than being an aunt or uncle. It certainly seemed like Prince Harry embraced the role of fun uncle."

Speaking to OK! magazine, Christine added, "as you can imagine, things went downhill pretty quickly. And given the rift between Harry and William, Harry's role as an uncle suffered. 

"According to the 2020 book Finding Freedom, Harry's bond with George and Charlotte suffered as a result of the feud between the brothers."
