Prince Harry was 'staggered' when he and Meghan Markle were removed from a key royal moment soon just before they stepped down as senior members of the Royal Family.

In January 2020, it was announced that the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, and Prince Harry would ‘step back’ as senior members of the royal family and become ‘financially independent’.

A royal expert has revealed that even before this decision was announced, the Prince and his wife were being left out of certain royal occasions. Royal author, Tom Bower, revealed that Prince Harry was 'staggered' when he realized that he and Meghan were being 'airbrushed' from the Royal Family in December 2019, when the Queen removed the photos of the couple from her desk during her Christmas speech.

"As Harry watched his grandmother from Vancouver, he was staggered. Four silver-framed family photographs had been carefully placed behind her," said Tom.

Instead, the images showed the other members of the extended Royal Family that are close to the Queen, "they showed the Queen's father George VI, Prince Philip, Charles and Camilla, and finally William and his family."

The expert revealed that Prince Harry even expressed 'fury' when his family was left out of this appearance. "To Harry's fury, there was no photographer of himself, Meghan, and Archie," said Tom. "The Windsors were airbrushing the Sussexes from history."

Tom Bower is releasing a book titled Revenge: Meghan, Harry, and the War Between the Windsors later this month which includes a number of interviews with sources who worked closely with the Royal Family.

The book is set to be released on July 21, and will reportedly contain a number of bombshells about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their relationship with the Royal Family and the firm.

Royal Commentator Sarah Robertson spoke to GB News about the upcoming book, "I mean, this book, there are so many more bombshells in it. But yeah, it’s going to send total shockwaves through the Royal Family – and also through the Sussex camp who have been dreading it."

Sarah added, "This book is explosive. It is the book that I have been waiting for with bated breath. And I can’t wait to put my hand on the actual whole copy."
