Kate Middleton had elocution lessons to sound ‘more regal’
Kate Middleton had elocution lessons to sound more regal and now the Duchess of Cambridge has an accent 'fit for a queen'
A royal insider has hinted that Kate Middleton may have had elocution lessons to make her accent sound 'more regal.'
- Royal expert Duncan Larcombe says that while Kate has always been well spoken, her accent has changed over the years.
- He says that she now has an accent 'fit for a Queen.'
- This follows royal news that Kate has set rules when it comes to her children.
Duncan Larcombe has revealed that the Duchess of Cambridge hasn't always spoken the way she does today. Seemingly, the hard-working royal has worked hard to sound just like a member of the Royal Family ought to.
Speaking to OK!, he said, "I first spoke to Kate in April 2005 when she was on a ski trip with Prince William, Prince Charles and Prince Harry in Switzerland.
“She was always well-spoken, she went to Marlborough College College, she was hardly the fishwife in the way she spoke.
“But, having said that, it's as though her accent and the way she carefully speaks and pronounces her words have become more regal over the years and morphed into what we see now."

He continued, “It's almost like her accent has changed in accordance with the role that she's played over the years.
“As a royal girlfriend she just had to be prim and proper and polite and she always was, she always smiled for the cameras and she always said very little when we heard her talking.

“She was every bit the Prince's girlfriend material and, of course, now she has an accent that is fitting of someone who will be Queen.”
This comes after it was revealed how Kate has one strict rule when it comes to her children, which is shouting in the house is off limits.
A royal source told The Sun, “Shouting is absolutely ‘off limits’ for the children and any hint of shouting at each other is dealt with by removal.”
