How Prince Harry ‘proved people wrong’ and showed he and Meghan Markle ‘don’t want to be high profile’
According to a royal expert Prince Harry 'proved people wrong' and could have sent a 'message to his doubters' with his trip to Africa...
Prince Harry “proved people wrong” and showed he and Meghan Markle “don’t want to be high profile”, a royal expert has claimed.
- The Duke of Sussex has recently visited Africa and a royal expert believes his choice to go “under the radar” is significant.
- It’s claimed he showed he “can run his own show” and could have sent a message to “doubters” with this low-key trip.
- This royal news comes as it was revealed that Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis share this unusual hobby with cousins Archie and Lilibet.
Since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle “stepped back” as senior members of the extended Royal Family, they’ve continued to pay important visits around the world. Earlier this month, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s UK visit in September was confirmed and ahead of this, the Duke of Sussex has visited Africa as President of African Parks. Prince Harry’s surprise trip to Africa started in Mozambique before traveling to Rwanda, just a few months after Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla made an inaugural royal visit to the country.
Now royal expert Jennie Bond has suggested that Prince Harry “proved people wrong” with the visit and indicated that he and Meghan “don’t want to be high profile”...
Opening up to OK!, Jennie expressed her belief that Prince Harry’s solo trip to Rwanda sent a “message to his doubters”. It’s believed that Prince Harry made the trip to Africa without Meghan and their children, Archie and Lilibet, and Jennie suggested that him going “completely under the radar” showed how the Sussexes aren’t seeking a “high profile” life.
“I am gobsmacked that he could make a tour and pass through London going completely under the radar," she said. "He must have been disguised rather heavily but I am absolutely astounded by it. I'm sure there would have been a Netflix crew with him but this charity, African Parks, is very close to his heart.”
Jennie then shared her admiration for the Queen’s grandchild as she reflected on how he displayed his ability to “run his own show” with his trip to Africa.
"His heart is in Africa, I don't doubt his sincerity, I don't think this is a stunt. I admire that he has shown that he can do his work without a posse of photographers and press, he can run his own show," she said.

Jennie also claimed, "There will be sniping but I think on this occasion he's proved people wrong. If this is a Netflix deal then exclusivity will be a part of it but it could be a message to his doubters that he and Meghan really don't want to be high profile."
Prince Harry’s low-key Africa visit certainly seems to have made an impression on the royal expert and could perhaps be seen to indicate that instead the couple are focused on the important work that means so much to them.
Africa is also known to have a special place in the Duke and Duchess’ hearts as Prince Harry revealed the romantic spot he “found a soulmate” in Meghan during his UN speech in July. They previously visited Botswana in the early years of their relationship and this inspired Meghan Markle’s engagement ring, as revealed by the Prince in an interview with the BBC back in 2017.
“The ring is obviously yellow gold because it’s her favorite. And the main stone itself is from Botswana. And the little diamonds either side are from my mother’s jewelry collection, to make sure she’s with us on this crazy journey together,” he declared at the time.
