Emma Stone may not be British, but she certainly knows how to charm a royal.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge sat down with the Oscar-winning actress during their Scotland tour on Monday to discuss her new film, Cruella—and it wasn't long before some set secrets were revealed.
The meeting, which was also attended by Stone's co-star Emma Thompson, was scheduled ahead of a preview screening of the Disney flick for NHS workers at the Palace of Holyroodhouse. The exclusive event aimed to recognize the efforts of UK healthcare workers throughout the pandemic and offer some much-needed escapism with blankets, popcorn, and of course, Dalmatians.

Prince William and Kate kicked off their chat with Stone and Thompson by honoring the NHS, sharing their experiences of talking to its staff over the past 14 months.
The conversation took a hilarious turn, however, when Kate asked the Cruella stars about filming in London. Stone sent alarm bells ringing with her response, clearly forgetting the strict security measures in the UK capital.
"We were in front of Buckingham Palace at one point, I was riding a motorcycle around the mall," she said.
"We should have had you stopped," Prince William replied jokingly.
"I know! I really got away with it. It was incredible, on my motorcycle with a car trailing me around Buckingham Palace," she quipped back.
Stone's adrenaline-fueled scene wasn't the only humorous anecdote of the 4-minute interview. Thompson also revealed she was confused for a drag queen after demonstrations in London while filming Cruella forced her to get the tube to work.
"I was in a wig THIS high and huge makeup—I looked like a llama," she said.
The Duke and Duchess's week-long tour of Scotland has been packed with witty exchanges since it commenced last Friday. Prince William hit headlines on Monday after 'flirting' with a 96-year-old woman in a care home, while Kate was forced to clear up a case of mistaken identity after a school child accidentally called her a prince.
The couple has also raced each other on land yachts, visited an addiction charity, and tried their hand at culinary arts over the past six days. Despite the grueling schedule, the hardworking duo has managed to maintain their chemistry throughout the week. William supported Kate during her hilarious music performance in his signature way—with some good old-fashioned mockery. The pair's banter has delighted their fans, reminding them just how ordinary they really are behind the royal bells and whistles.
