Carole Middleton is preparing for a seriously exciting month as not only will Kate Middleton reach a major milestone, but she’ll have a special occasion of her own to mark this January.

In a matter of days Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge will mark a significant occasion as she’ll turn 40 on January 9th. Though big birthdays such as this are a cause for special celebration, given the prevalence of the Omicron variant, it’s already been suggested that Kate will have a “low key” birthday instead of a large party. Last year Prince William reportedly held a surprise tea party at home in Anmer Hall with their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

For this coming birthday it’s thought that the Duchess could celebrate quietly with her husband and children and possibly also with her family. The Middletons are understood to be very close and it was Kate Middleton’s 5th birthday that once changed everything for her mother.

Struggling to find supplies for Kate’s party, she was inspired to set up her business, Party Pieces. If there’s one person who knows how to make the most out of stunning decorations, it’s Carole. And though it’s not known whether she will spend her daughter’s 40th with her, she definitely has cause for double celebration this month.

Just weeks after the Duchess turns 40, Carole will mark a milestone of her own as she’ll turn 67 on January 31st. With two family birthdays so close together this is likely a very exciting time for the Middletons and they could perhaps gather together in honor of these occasions. Given her party expertise, it may be that Carole is planning something wonderful for one or both of these birthdays.

And if Carole and Kate do go on to celebrate their respective birthdays together after all, it won’t be the first time mother and daughter have reunited in recent months. Both Carole and Michael Middleton, as well as the Duchess' siblings Pippa and James, attended the Together at Christmas carol concert in December.

Here they got to see Kate’s piano performance as she showcased one of the many skills that Carole’s eye for “perfection” reportedly helped inspire. Following this event after the Queen cancelled Christmas at Sandringham in favor of remaining at Windsor Castle, the Cambridges spent the festive season in Norfolk. Reports have suggested that Carole and Michael visited their daughter and her family there during the Christmas period.

With the Duchess of Cambridge’s 40th and her own birthday now edging ever closer, Carole will no doubt be looking forward to marking these special family occasions in some way this month, as well as to spending more time with her loved ones in 2022.
