Strictly star shocked as surprise guest makes appearance on It Takes Two

Some of the most popular dances on this year's Strictly Come Dancing have been the Couple's Choice dances.

Before his unfortunate early departure, Will Bayley left viewers and the judges in floods of tears, with his emotional contemporary dance with Janette Manrara. And comedian Chris Ramsey had fans dancing in their seats with his brilliant commercial street dance routine to Ant and Dec's, Lets Get Ready to Rhumble.

The streak continued last week too, when Emmerdale's Kelvin Fletcher and Oti Mabuse nailed an energetic commercial street dance to Do I Love You - which earned him three tens from the judges.

But after the pair danced, Kelvin revealed that the song is his dad's favourite - and that all week, he had actually pranked him into thinking he wanted him to dance the intro for him and Oti on the live show.

Of course, it didn't happen then - but Mr Fletcher's dreams came true when he danced along to the song live on It Takes Two on Friday night!

Actor Kelvin was left totally gobsmacked, when host Zoe Ball revealed a surprise appearance from Kelvin's dad on the programme.

She announced, "He may not have danced on the main show, but here dancing for the first time ever on national television, on It Takes Two..."

Kelvin's face dropped as he realised what was happening, before Zoe continued, "It's Kelvin's dad, Warren!"

Warren proceeded to strut his stuff to Do I Love You in amongst the studio audience, with Kelvin visibly delighted in the background.

The crowd erupted in applause, before Kelvin embraced his dad in a hug.

Afterwards, the Emmerdale star said, "I cannot believe you've managed to keep this from me dad", to which Warren revealed that he was just getting his own back. He said, "Well, you know, that is how a proper prank is done!"

It's Musical's Week on Strictly Come Dancing tonight, and Oti and Kelvin will be dancing the American Smooth to Gaston, from Beauty and the Beast.

Chris Ramsey and Karen Hauer will be doing the Foxtrot to Consider Yourself, from Oliver!, while Anton Du Beke and Emma Barton will be dancing the Charleston to Thoroughly Modern Millie, from the musical of the same name.

Alex Scott and Neil Jones are performing the Samba, to Joyful Joyful from Sister Act, and finally, Karim Zeroual and Amy Downdon are doing the Jive, to You Can't Stop the Beat, from Hairspray.

We can't wait for tonight's Strictly!
