Prince William’s special request to the Queen to ensure Carole Middleton would feel comfortable in the Royal Family has finally been revealed.

Prince William asked the Queen for permission to include Kate's parents in royal life, an insider has revealed.
The Duke of Cambridge was intent on developing a strong relationship with his in-laws from the start, according to royal expert Katie Nicholl, conducting a number of gestures to welcome them into the British monarchy.
“The Queen knew how close not only Kate but William was to the Middletons and how important it was to keep them close and make them feel included,” she told OK! Magazine. “William wanted them to be a part of the family and wanted the Queen to make them feel very welcomed.”
Prince William, whose own mother Princess Diana was killed in a tragic car crash in 1997, has reportedly always gotten on well with the Middleton family.
When he became engaged to Kate in 2010 after eight years of dating, he made it a priority to involve the in-laws in royal life.

"Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael, have been invited to the monarch’s carriage parade at Ascot and they and sister Pippa joined the Thames boat pageant for the Diamond Jubilee,” Katie added. “Those moments will have been carefully thought out to show how welcome the Middletons are. It will have meant so much to Kate and William.”
The close relationship between the Middletons and the Cambridges may be a sign of the shifting nature of the royal family. “Kate and Carole are incredibly close, but more than that, Carole has been welcomed in a way that previously just hadn’t happened,” Katie explained. “As far as the Cambridges are concerned, Carole and her husband Michael are an intrinsic part of their family unit.”
Carole, a former flight attendant who now owns a party piece company, is very involved in her daughters’ personal life. As a proud grandmother to both Kate and Pippa’s young children, she is committed to spending quality time with them.
“I want to run down the hills, climb the trees and go through the tunnel at the playground," she told Good Housekeeping. "As long as I am able to, that’s what I’ll be doing. I cook with them, I muck around dancing, we go on bike rides.”
Carole has recently been focused on helping Kate's sister Pippa, who gave birth to her second child last week.
