Popular chef Lisa Faulkner may be best known for her skills in the kitchen, and her acting roles on screen, but now, she's taken on a brand new venture.
The former EastEnders actress revealed to her social media followers yesterday that she has penned a new, autobiographical novel, named 'Meant to Be'. How exciting!
Sharing the good news, Lisa revealed that it will be all about her emotional journey to mother. She is mum to 10-year-old daughter Billie, whom she adopted with her ex-husband Chris Coghill.

On Instagram, she said, 'So excited to finally be able to share my new book with you. It’s called Meant to Be and you can preorder on @amazon now. It comes out on June 27th and is about my (very rocky!) road to motherhood.
'I hope anyone who has had trouble trying to have a family or is going through it now will find a hand to hold in this book. It’s my story of my journey, I have sat for months at my kitchen table and tapped away at my computer and I can’t wait for you to read it. Link in bio 💖 #meanttobe'.
Lisa's fan were thrilled by the news of her book, including plenty of her celebrity friends.
Tamzin Outhwaite commented saying, 'Yes Lisa!!! You gorgeous clever girl 👏👏👏🙌🙌🙌', while Jools Oliver also replied, 'Looks fantastic well done u must feel so proud 💝'.

Lisa has spoken candidly before about her journey to motherhood, revealing to Hello! magazine that it took her some time to feel she had a right to be called Billie's mother.
She explained, “It took a long time to take ownership of the word [mum]. That sounds weird because you don’t ‘own’ your children, and of course I don’t own Billie. She has her own life. But at first I had this feeling of, ‘Is she mine?’”
The cook, who is engaged to fellow chef John Torode, also revealed her thoughts that she and her daughter Billie were meant to find one another.
“A friend of mine who adopted said to me, ‘A snowflake will land in the right place and everything has its place, where it’s meant to be.’" Lisa said. "And I really believe that. I celebrate Billie every day and say to her, ‘I am so lucky to have you.’"
