Holly Willoughby delights fans with a rare glimpse into life at home

TV star Holly Willoughby has delighted fans by giving them an insight into what she gets up to at home when she's not on This Morning.

Just a few weeks ago Holly revealed she'd taken up gardening in lockdown. And since her admission, the presenter likes to keep her 6.7 million Instagram followers informed on the process.

On Tuesday night she shared a snap of some peonies and captioned it, "Garden putting on quite the show... peonies.. my fav."

With more time on her hands due to the coronavirus crisis and the country being in lockdown, Holly, 39, has gone all green fingers and last month the mum-of-three even potted some potatoes.

"Yay! We've been planting all weekend. Grow your own game is on," commented one fan.

Another said, "There's nothing quite as satisfying as growing your own, and the produce tastes delicious."

While the covid-19 pandemic has been a traumatic and turbulent time for most, Holly has been trying to focus on the positives - like having time to manage her vegetable plot and spending more time with her husband, Dan Baldwin.

Like many other couples up and down the country, the pandemic means Holly, 39, and her husband of 13 years, Dan, are spending a lot more time together than normal.

With Holly still working at This Morning with Philip Schofield, Dan has been left in charge of their three children – Belle, Harry and Chester. And the TV star confessed he’s doing a wonderful job.

And, Holly revealed, it’s the little things like this that mean their marriage is thriving in lockdown.

During a call-in onThis Morning about fighting with your family during lockdown, Holly said Dan has been earning brownie points in isolation.

“I also think that doing little nice things gives you a bit of leeway in other areas as well. Like, if I’m doing something and Dan will come and make me a cup of tea, or I’ll come back and he’ll have put the washing away and I haven’t asked him,” she admitted.

“Then I sort of turn a blind eye to all these other things, so I think doing little things to help makes a big difference.”
