'Lovely picture': Eamonn Holmes shares adorable first photo from his son’s wedding

Eamonn Holmes and his family celebrated a special day recently - the wedding of his eldest son Declan, to his long-time girlfriend Jenny.

The This Morning presenter announced that the wedding took place on Wednesday - writing on his social media, 'It's a Special Day .My first born son @decholmes gets married today to @JennyGouk . The clans are gathering and I'm delighted to say there's a lot of Love and happiness all around us. 😍👍#IrishWedding'.

And now, he's shared an adorable first picture of the happy bride and groom, presumably as they walked down the aisle as husband and wife.

Alongside the picture, Eamonn wrote, 'I think you'll agree they make a lovely couple. My son Declan and his Bride Jenny now Man & Wife. 👏🍾🥂🌞👍'

And fans indeed agreed with Eamonn's sentiments, commenting on the photo to share their congraulations.

Celebrity friend Myleene Klass was first to comment, writing, 'Huge congrats! Xxx'. A fan of the presenter also said, 'Class Eamonn. What a wonderful day for you and your family.', while a second wrote, 'Totally agree Eamonn, beautiful couple 👍🍀'.

And a third said, 'Congratulations 🎉. Such a lovely pic 💗'

It's thought that happy celebration took place in, or near, the small Irish village of Glaslough, in County Monaghan.

Both Eamonn and wife Ruth were spotted there, and took a selfie with fans in the area - which the GMB presenter then shared on social media.

While Eamonn and wife Ruth share 16-year-old son Jack together, Declan is Eamonn's first son from his previous marriage to Gabrielle Holmes.

The happy news of Declan's marriage comes as it was revealed that the presenting couple have recently been forced to take a few days off from their summer duties on This Morning.

Eamonn shared with fans that he had contracted shingles, resulting in a painful red rash on his face.

The infection is thought to be particularly contagious, so Ruth also decided to stay home from work in order to reduce the risk of it spreading.

But it looks as though their trip to Ireland for Eamonn's son's wedding was a happy break from time spent recovering at home!
