The Body Shop launches new refreshing body care range made from supermarket waste

The Body Shop has launched a new refreshing body care range that is made using supermarket waste.

The high street cosmetics brand, which is known for its moves towards sustainability, has introduced two new Body Shop ranges that are made using fruits and vegetables that weren’t good enough for supermarket shelves.

Their refreshing Cool Cucumber range is made from the juice of ‘second-choice wonky cucumber that wouldn’t sell in supermarkets’, while the Zesty Lemon line is formulated from lumpy lemons that couldn’t go on shelves.

Here’s everything you can find in the brand’s new sustainable range…

What do customers think of the new Body Shop range?

It is really cooling,’ wrote one customer about the Cool Cucumber range. ‘Just what you need on a hot summer day.

‘I feel very clean after using it. It leaves you with a total different feeling after the shower comparing with other shower gels.

Lovely soft scent leaving skin refreshed especially on a hot day as there’s a definite cooling ingredient that’s a bit tingly,’ agreed another. ‘Really like this!

Loving this limited edition range,’ commented another, ‘very fresh and cooling, not over powering at all’.

And fans have also been loving the lemon range, with one writing, ‘This shower gel has a crisp fresh fragrance which leaves you feel super clean and fills the air with the aroma.’

Another commented, ‘Not too over powering. The lemon scent reminded me of a sherbet sweet. Loved the consistency and it was super absorbent!!’ while one raved, ‘Fresh, zingy and uplifting, I love this!’.

Unfortunately some of the products in the range have already sold out because it is that good, but there are still a few bits left (and you can sign up for email notifications to let you know when products are back in stock) – but we’d be quick if you want to get your hands on them!
