  • We can’t get enough of Italian food – but how do you make the real deal? If your lasagne lacks lustre, and your arrabiata simply ain’t right, you should join our new five-day cooking holiday in Sicily – led by our food director Jane Curran, who never has trouble with her tiramisus.

We’ve teamed up with foodie specialists Flavours Holidays to create the perfect Italian cooking holiday this April. Not only will you eat some of the best dishes the region has to offer (and drink some fabulous Sicilian wines), but you’ll also learn how to create them.

Staying in a private villa set amid stunning scenery, this cooking holiday will be relaxed, fun and hands-on. Working in small groups in the kitchen of your villa, you’ll be taught techniques and skills by passionate, knowledgeable local chefs, while creating regional recipes using fresh ingredients.

“I can’t wait to meet you under the Sicilian sun!”, says Jane, who is Woman and Home’s authority on all-things foodie. “I can’t wait to be inspired by the seasonal produce… This promises to be a very exciting trip.”

During your stay, you’ll also join Jane for an evening talk and Q&A in which she’ll offer her expert advice and insights on the world of food and drink, and tell you more about the rich culture of Sicilian cooking. There will be plenty of time for you to marvel at the Baroque architecture of nearby villages Ragusa and Noto – regarded as some of the most beautiful on the island – and visit a winery for a vineyard tour, followed by a tutored tasting of some of the finest Sicilian wines over lunch.

The trip, which departs this April, includes return British Airways flights to Catania, four nights’ private en-suite accommodation in a beautiful villa, and cookery lessons with a local chef. All transport and meals are included, as well as a selection of local wines – and a private wine tasting at a nearby vineyard. Book your place on this tour now!
